Police requested the public's help in finding the suspects responsible for allegedly beating a man as he walked home from Monrovia's New Year's Day celebration.
The man and his girlfriend were approached by three men at about 2 a.m. on January 1 as they walked near Myrtle Avenue and Chestnut Avenue, according to a police wanted poster released Tuesday.
The men engaged in a verbal altercation before the suspect attacked the alleged victim from behind, knocking him down.
"The suspect repeatedly punched the victim in the head and face, causing serious facial injuries which require reconstructive surgery," the poster states.
The suspect is described as a 5-foot-8-inch Hispanic male with brown hair, brown eyes and a fair complexion weighing approximately 140 pounds.
Anyone with information about the suspect is encouraged to contact Monrovia Police Detective Rob Wilken at 626-256-8000.
