Trial Begins This Week for Teacher From Monrovia Accused of Molesting Students

Jury selection is expected to begin Tuesday in the trial of Wade Bughman, a Monrovia man accused of sexually assaulting his students at a Duarte elementary school.

Jury selection is scheduled to start Tuesday in the trial of a Monrovia man accused of molesting and sexually assaulting his students while he taught at a Duarte elementary school.

Wade Joseph Bughman is charged with 11 counts of molestation and sexual abuse for allegedly assaulting seven different students at Beardslee Elementary School between 1997 and 2010.

Bughman was arrested in Apple Valley in June 2010 after several students came forward and accused him of abuse. He was placed on leave in April 2010 by the Duarte Unifed School District after administrators were alerted to the alleged abuse by responses in a school survey.

This is taking an awfully long time to come to court. The parents must want to string him up. Child abusers, of any stripe, deserve a lashing like they do in Thailand.

If you want a link, read this! I hope the elementary teacher who preyed on little kids and has ruined their lives gets a dose of this same medicine. I cannot believe NO ONE at that school noticed anything unusual. The entire district should be under scrutiny.

Margeaux-We do not live in Thailand and here in the US a person is considered innocent until proven guilty by a jury of his/her peers. You have already brought up "reasonable doubt" by your statement "I cannot believe NO ONE at that school noticed anything unusual". Based on the few facts that have been released by the media he would have to be declared innocent. Since you nor anyone else at this point know all of the facts I suggest you reserve you judgement until you properly informed. I am sure you would want to same consideration if you were the one who was accused.
