Assemblyman Holden to Address Youth & Government Students

The legislator will speak to teens from several area schools, and then the students will debate bills they have created and honed over the last several months.

Students from California YMCA Youth & Government will participate in a Q7A session Thursday night with Assemblyman Chris Holden.

Representing the 41st Assembly Disttrict, which includes Monrovia, Altadena, Pasadena, Sierra Madre, South Pasadena, San Dimas, La Verne, Claremont, Upland and Alta Loma (part of Rancho Cucamonga), Holden will meet with students from around the San Gabriel Valley to talk about his path to state government, and how the legislature works.

After Holden speaks, the kids will debate bills for their parents. The students have written and created the mock legislation over the past several months.
