California Avenue Closure Planned for Saturday
The closure is related to the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension project.
The south side of Duarte Road and California Avenue from Monovista Avenue to Duarte Road will close Saturday as part of work on the Gold Line, according to the city's website.
The closure this weekend is part of the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority's traffic control measures for Phase 3 of the work.
This area is to stay closed until Jan. 31.

To accommodate traffic, one lane in both the eastbound and westbound directions will be open on the north side of Duarte Road. Traffic will be open from westbound Duarte onto northbound California Avenue and from southbound California to westbound Duarte.
This is expected to take some traffic off of northbound and southbound Myrtle Avenue, according to the city's website.
