Canyon Park Re-Opens Thursday, Brush Fire Fully Contained
The park has been closed since the Madison Fire broke out on Saturday.
Canyon Park will re-open Thursday after it was closed because of the Madison Fire, City Manager Laurie Lile said.
The Monrovia Fire Department confirmed that the fire was fully contained at Wednesday night, according to the city's website.
The fire erupted Saturday and burned more than 150 acres, forcing hillside residents in several neighborhoods to evacuate their homes. The evacuations were lifted Sunday but the fire continued to burn in smaller areas for several days.
