Citrus College Trustee Gary Woods Addresses Residency Accusations

A union president accused Woods of not living in his district at the March 19 board meeting.

Gary Woods, the Citrus College trustee who's served on the board for decades, responded Tuesday to allegations that he doesn't live in his district, but instead lives in Sierra Madre, according to a story in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.

Woods maintained that his Azusa home is his primary residence, as the state election code mandates that a person must have a primary place of residence ("domicile") in their district.

"I get mail (in Azusa), I have a telephone and I get calls there, I vote there, my driver's license is there, I voted in the most recent election," he said, according to the Tribune. "I think I've voted in every election. "
