City Council Chooses New City Manager

Laurie Lile, the Assistant City Manager of Palmdale, will take over Monrovia's top management position.

The announced Tuesday that Laurie Lile, the current Assistant City Manager of Palmdale, has accepted an offer and will take over as the city's next city manager.

While Lile has accepted the city's offer, the council must approve it at the next scheduled council meeting. The council was unanimous in its decision to hire Lile, according to Monrovia City Attorney Craig Steele.

Lile briefly addressed the council Tuesday.

"It's going to be a challenge but I’m looking forward to it," Lile said.

Lile is a graduate of UC Davis and obtained an MBA from Pepperdine University, according to her LinkedIn profile.
