Construction to Force Eastbound 210 Closure Tuesday Night

Traffic will be re-routed from Baldwin Avenue for five hours as work continues on a bridge for the Gold Line Foothill Extension.

Construction will force the closure of the 210 freeway Tuesday night for five hours as crews continue work on a bridge for the Gold Line Foothill Extension.

The eastbound 210 will be closed at Baldwin Avenue, and traffic will be re-routed onto Foothill Boulevard from midnight Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday. The eastbound on-ramps at Rosemead Boulevard, Michillinda Boulevard and Baldwin will be closed off from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday.

"Traffic delays are expected for the eastbound lanes of the I-210 Freeway as construction work continues," a news release from the GLCA states. "For safety purposes, the eastbound lanes of the I-210 Freeway will be completely closed while construction crews install reinforcement for the first of three deep bridge foundations."

The will allow Gold Line trains to travel over the 210 freeway on their way from Pasadena into Arcadia. It is slated for completion in July of next year.
