To aid the Community Development Commission of Los Angeles County in developing a five-year plan for housing and community development, county officials are asking Monrovia residents to take part in a survey.
The plan is intended to guide housing and community development policy, including housing, economic development and infrastructure.
The Community Development Block Grant has helped cities and counties with funding and resources to address affordable housing and neighborhood needs.
The plan, known as the “Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development,” is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. It is depends in large part on the on the opinions and feedback of Los Angeles County residents.
While answers of the survey are confidential, the results and the plan are for public record.
