Monrovia Holiday Parade Postponed

Monrovia officials decided to postpone Thursday's parade after strong winds toppled the city's Christmas tree.

Floats will not be motoring up Myrtle Avenue Thursday night after forced the city to postpone its annual holiday parade.

The city's Christmas tree in Library Park was that left debris strewn throughout the city.

Monrovia's community services department is working to reschedule the parade on Dec. 7, according to the city's Facebook page.

"Confirmation of this date will be determined on the availability of registered participants," the site reads. "We will have a final update after all registered participants have been contacted."
