Monrovia's Development Blog Changes Name

The city's Development Spotlight Blog has a new name inspired by the place where development starts.

As of last week, the blog will now operate as the Over the Counter Blog in a nod to the desk where development plans are first hatched up and exchanged.

"The Counter is the place where development activity begins as an idea, sometimes not more than a doodle on paper passed across a wooden counter," the blog states. 

The blog has provided detailed information about development in the city and the actions taken by the Monrovia planning commission. The name change will allow it to expand its range of topics.

"Since our blog posts sometimes include items not related to development, this name change gives us a little more freedom to cover a range of topics related to the Community Development Department," it states.
