Poll: Should Monrovia Sanction a BMX Track?

Kids already use the area above Grand Avenue Park as a BMX track. Should the city make it into an official part of the park?

A has raised another question about the secluded place: What to do about the area above it?

Some readers have suggested turning the dirt area above the park into a BMX park because youths are already using it for that purpose anyway.

Large mounds of dirt have been built into bike jumps, and the police said that every time they clear the area, kids come back and build it again.

Clarification: According to city spokesman Dan Bell, the land above the park is owned by the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, so any plan to sanction a BMX park there would require the county's permission.
