Santa Anita Avenue in Neighboring Arcadia to Close Overnight at 10 p.m.

A major street closure of Santa Anita Avenue between Colorado Boulevard and Santa Clara Street in neighboring Arcadia starts at 10 p.m. tonight and ends Thursday at 6 a.m.

The following is the construction notice on the project from the Foothill Extension Construction Authority.

Starting tonight at 10 p.m., through early morning tomorrow, Santa Anita Ave between Colorado Blvd and Santa Clara St will be fully closed to thru-traffic to allow crews to remove the concrete barriers near the new bridge abutments and to temporarily repave the street.  

During the street closure, detour routes will be in place and signage will be posted to guide motorists and pedestrians around the construction activity.

Please note: The intersection of First Ave and Santa Clara St, Arcadia has re-opened temporarily to relieve anticipated traffic congestion during the Santa Anita Race Track's Breeders Cup event. The intersection will once again close on November 11, 2013 and remain closed through February 2014.
