Video: Huff Presents Teacher Reform Proposal

Senator Huff recently proposed reforms making it easier for districts to fire teachers for criminal or unprofessional behavior.

From the office of Senator Bob Huff (R-Diamond Bar), Monrovia's representative in the State Senate:

This is Senator Huff’s presentation of SB 1059, his teacher reform proposal requested by Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa and the LAUSD Board of Trustees in response to the Miramonte School scandal.

The California Teachers Association showed up to vigorously oppose the bill, and it received only two votes. Six votes were needed to move it out of committee.
