Locals at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory are viewing the first images of Mars. 

Rover Curiosity landed at 10:31 p.m. Sunday, Pacific Standard Time. 

Scientists cheered and screamed when the words "touch down confirmed" were said by NASA officials.
