Wildcats Romp To Enter CIF-SS Semi-Finals

The Monrovia High School Wildcats blasted the South El Monte Eagles Friday night, winning their second round game in the CIF Southern Section playoffs 43-6.  The 'cats have defeated both of their playoff opponents by a combined 93-6.

Monrovia jumped out to a 29-0 half time lead, and held South El Monte off with a suffocating defense, allowing just two first downs in the third quarter.  The Eagles got on the board with a 47-yard pass mid-way through the final quarter, but the game had long been decided at that point. And they blocked the the point after try, anyway.

The Wildcats play in next Friday's semi-finals for a chance to three-peat as the Mid-Valley Division champion.
