Deborah Collins Named Interim Superintendent for MUSD

The former deputy superintendent will take over the district while the school board searches for a permanent replacement for Linda Wagner.

The school board has named Deborah Collins as the interim superintendent for the Monrovia Unified School District after Linda Wagner left the district's top administrative post last month.

Collins, the former deputy superintendent, has worked for MUSD for 26 years.

"I am excited to have this opportunity to serve our students and the Monrovia community," Collins wrote on the district's website. "MUSD has had to face some daunting challenges in the past – and the district and community have been able to work together to turn them into opportunities."
