How to Join the Watch D.O.G.S. Volunteers at Monrovia Schools

Here's the process to follow if you want to volunteer to help patrol Monrovia schools as part of the Watch D.O.G.S. program.

M.A.D. Town Council Member and MUSD volunteer Terrence Williams posted the following on Patch:

I do have a Volunteer Application 2012-2013 form and will share the "Procedures For Volunteers" as stated.

1. Fill out application completely. If you are new to volunteering with the District, you must have TB test results included. If you have previously volunteered with MUSD, your last TB test must have been within the past four years or you will need to have a new test. Your completed application and valid TB test will be submitted to the district office for a background check.
2. Your school site will let you know if you are a Level 1 or a Level 2 volunteer. If you are a Level 1 volunteer, you will be given a form entitled "Megan's Law Volunteer Screening Request." You must fill this out and provide proof of identification (such as California Driver License or Identification Card) to the school office manage for verification. Level 2 volunteers will need to be fingerprinted, and must make an appointment with the Human Resources department.
3. As soon as your background check is completed, you will be notified and you may begin to work.
