The Monrovia Unified School District Board of Education held a special closed session meeting Friday morning to discuss hiring a search firm to find a new superintendent, according to a board agenda report.
The board met in closed session at 9:30 a.m. Friday "regarding employment of a search firm for (a) possible Superintendent vacancy," the report states.
Superintendent Linda Wagner declined to comment on this story in an email to Patch. She said she expects to comment on the matter next week.
Wagner was appointed to the superintendent position at MUSD in 2009.
