MUSD Postpones Review of Facility Use Policy

District lawyers need more time to put together policy governing use of MUSD facilities by outside groups, the superintendent said.

A planned review of the policy spelling out the rules for use of district facilities has been postponed until next month, the superintendent said.

District lawyers need more time to review the policy and the item, originally scheduled to go before the board on Nov. 9, will now go before the board next month, Superintendent Linda Wagner said.

"It is still with legal counsel and we need a little more time so we have moved that item to the December meeting," Wagner said in a voicemail message.

The policy is being reviewed after some outside groups have complained about charges to use school facilities. The Monrovia Youth Baseball League for use of school baseball fields, a price league organizers have called unreasonable.

MUSD officials have as the cause of the fees.
