Video: Monrovia High's McCarthy Gets First Sack for UCLA

Former Monrovia High School star defensive tackle Ellis McCarthy recorded his first sack in the Bruins' win over Rice Thursday.

One game in and Ellis McCarthy is already flattening quarterbacks.

The former star defensive tackle at Monrovia High School recorded a sack in his first game as a freshman at UCLA in the Bruins' 49-24 drubbing of Rice Thursday night.

McCarthy made his debut Thursday after this summer with a knee injury .
