Video: Monrovia Unified School Board Honors Coach Ryan Maddox, Wildcats

The Rio Hondo League Championship Monrovia High School football team and head coach Ryan Maddox were honored Wednesday night for a season well done.

The Monrovia Unified Board of Education recognized the team, who finished the season with an 11-2 record and a league title. The team was narrowly defeated in its quest for a fourth consecutive CIF-Southern Section title.

Also honored was the coaching staff. Head coach Ryan Maddox, who announced last week that he plans to resign from coaching to pursue a career as a school administrator, received a plaque for his dedication and service to the team.
