Baseball: Tigers, Wildcats Well Represented on All-League Squads

South Pasadena places three players on All-Rio Hondo League First Team, while Monrovia and La Canada place two. San Marino earns three on second team.

While Temple City took home most of the postseason hardware as Corey Copping won Rio Hondo League MVP honors and the Rams had five players make first team All-RHL, South Pasadena, Monrovia and La Canada all had multiple players earn spots on the first team.

South Pasadena had the second most players represented with three. Junior Dylan Trimarchi, who led the Tigers with a .412 batting average and finished the year with 10 doubles, earned a spot in the infield. Keaton Leach is a first-team outfielder, and senior Anthony D'Oro earned a spot on the team as a utility player.

Monrovia's Nick Bueno (last year's league MVP) made the first team for the Wildcats along with junior pitcher Kevin Shue.

La Canada was represented on the first team by seniors Scott Stetson and Brendon Shoemake.

San Marino posted three players on the second team (Matt Wofford, Mark Chen and Justin Kreindler). Rounding out team is Sam Baldwin (La Canada), Derek Georgino (La Canada), Adrian Velasco (Monrovia), Luis Mercado (Monrovia), Connor Bednarsky (South Pasadena), Joey Harmon (South Pasadena) and Tony Veiller (South Pasadena).
