Scoby Named All-Rio Hondo League MVP

Monrovia High running back Kurt Scoby has been named All-Rio Hondo League MVP.

League coaches picked Scoby for the honor, as well as those selected to first and second team for offense and defense, according to the Pasadena Star-News. Also listed were players receiving honorable mention honors.

Scoby helped the Wildcats finished the season with a 11-2 record and a league title. The team's quest for a fourth consecutive CIF-Southern Section title ended last Friday with a 22-21 loss to Paraclete High in the Mid-Valley Division.

Fellow Senior Logan Craig was named Defensive Player of the Year, according to the newspaper.

Several Wildcats were named to the First and Second Team for both offense and defense.
