All fireworks are not allowed in Forest Service areas, even those deemed "safe and sane" by the County Fire Department, according to the release.
There will be patrols out looking for firework use in the Angeles National Forest, according to the release. Penalties for using fireworks on Forest Service land include up to 6 months in county jail and $5,000 in fines.
