Monrovia High's SkillsUSA entrepreneurship team is hosting a fundraiser and are in need of attendees. This is a community event so come on out!

's SkillsUSA Entrepreneurship team is hosting a flapjack fundraiser in collaboration with . Monrovia High school's SkillsUSA Entrepreneurship team allowing them to advance onto the national competition in Kansas City, Missouri. The team Won both competitions with very exemplary scores in all areas of the entrepreneurship scoring system, defeating all the other competitors they faced with an admirable gap between their scores. The entrepreneurship team is composed of four very bright, charismatic, and eager entrepreneurship students who attend the Small Business Management course provided by Monrovia High School. Monrovia High School has a long standing relationship with the SkillsUSA organization and has seen many students through to the state level competition. This is the first year Monrovia High School entered an entrepreneurship team into the competitions, leaving them with no experience and no one at the school to ask for advice or what to expect at the competitions. The team learned and worked hard to build upon the skills and traits any entrepreneur needs to succeed in the business world and applied those skills to their presentation at both competitions. The flapjack fundraiser is the only major fundraiser the team has going for them, and they are fond of the idea because it allows the entire community to get involved with their efforts and show support. Tickets sell at $10, and are required to enter the flapjack breakfast fundraiser. Each ticket allows one person into the event which starts at 8:00am-10:am on both the 26th and 27th. 50% of the profits go toward the entrepreneurship team's trip to SkillsUSA nationals. The total amount of funds needed rounds up to an estimated $3,300 for all the expenses required by the SkillsUSA organization. This fundraiser is meant to be a community event, so talking and having a good time is encouraged! Donations and sponsorships are also accepted by the team and would be very appreciated as the team really needs to raise funds. The team is also offering business advice and tips for anyone who attends the event, so feel free to ask questions!
