Centre Stage Students to do Goodwill Drive for Make A Difference Day

The donation drive is Oct. 26 at First Presbyterian Church of Monrovia.

Monrovia residents looking to clean out their closets, drawers, or garages of old clothing they no longer want have a chance to make a difference.

Students from the music school Centre Stage are doing a Goodwill drive Oct. 26 to collect donated clothing for Make A Difference Day.

"We wanted to have the kids get involved in Make a Difference Day," said Keely Milliken, the school's founder.  "It's good for the kids."

The children have set a goal to fill 60 bins, Milliken said.

"It's a lot harder than they thought," she said.

Donations will collected the day of the drive from 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Monrovia, 101 E. Foothill. Tax receipts will be provided.

Those who can't make it to the drive but still want to donate may call Keely Milliken at 626-297-4758 to make other arrangements.
