The Monrovia Area Partnership Leadership Academy got underway last week, but for those who want to join still, it is not too late.
Mayor Pro Tem Becky Shevlin urged residents at Tuesday's City Council meeting to apply to be a part of the academy, which has its second meeting today.
"It's a great opportunity for everyone in the community to learn what we do here in Monrovia, everything from government, nonprofits, code enforcement, you name it," she said. "(It's) just a great opportiunity to come down and find out what city government does and how you can participate."
