I am a long time South Pasadena Resident who has recently returned to the town where I grew up to find not much has changed. The city is still the quaint little area with hometown charm where everybody knows their neighbors. I have been in the medical field for 15 years as an EMT/Firefighter, a U.S Navy Hospital Corpsman and most recently as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. I am currently a fulltime student at Pasadena City College pursuing my upgrade to Registered Nurse.
I returned to a passion of mine 2 years ago when I began a second run of volunteering for the South Pasadena Tournament of Roses Committee doing construction on our city's parade float. I am currently the Construction Chair and am looking forward to continuing the legacy that is the South Pasadena Rose Parade Float. I am also the administrator for the "South Pasadena Float Builders and Decorators" facebook page at www.facebook.com/SPRoseFloat. I am proud to be a member of such a great team that is now working on sharing it's second century of SP civic pride with the people of South Pasadena and the worldwide television audience.
I would be more than happy to blog on anything and everything relating to South Pasadena. If there is something you're particularily interested in, e-mail me and we can bring the topic to light.
