By Hazel Lodevico-To'o

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Citrus College has invited farm worker, labor leader and civil rights activist Dolores Huerta to speak during a forum 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9.

Huerta worked alongside Cesar Chavez to co-found the United Farm Workers, bringing awareness to the plight of farm workers. They also fought for collective bargaining rights in the agricultural industry in the 1960s.

Located at the Citrus College Campus Center, 1000 W. Foothill Blvd., the event is free and open to the public. The cost for a daily parking pass is $5.
